About the OAIS Scholarship Granting Organization
The Ohio Association of Independent Schools SGO is a scholarship granting organization providing Ohio students the crucial funding they need to receive the best education possible. OAIS is committed to the quality education that independent schools provide to students from diverse backgrounds.
Ohio is one of 18 states with a tax-credit scholarship program. In Ohio, taxpayers receive dollar-for-dollar non-refundable tax credits up to $750 for their donations to SGOs, like OAIS. Click below to donate online.

In 2016, two CJDS alumni, twins Pierce and Isle Grossman, decided that they wanted to dedicate their B’nai Mitzvah project to CJDS. After careful thought and planning, and meeting with the Head of School, they created the “Pay It Forward” Fund. Within one year, they were able to raise over $14,000. The Pay It Forward Fund is an opportunity to say thank you to Columbus Jewish Day School. Maya Cohen, CJDS Alumna, recently reconnected with Columbus Jewish Day School this fall when she decided to make a donation through her B'nai Tzedek Fund to go towards CJDS.
Maya, who is currently attending Simmons University and majoring in Social Work, shares: “As I am moving on to a new chapter in life, I wanted to give back as a 'thank you' to the places that brought me to where I am now.”
